THE SHIELD OF SUBMISSION
 
The word “SUBMISSION” is one of the most difficult, disliked and disputed concepts in the Bible. Especially in postmodern culture, when personal preference and individual independence rule supreme, and when people speak of “living your own truth,” as if truth itself was somehow flexible or adaptable. So you can imagine what kind of reaction the secular, carnal mind has when it encounters the Bible’s many commands to submit! And yet, Scripture is unbendingly insistent on this subject. So whatever the word “SUBMISSION” means, it’s obviously something that every Christian should wholeheartedly embrace, because it appears frequently and significantly in the pages of the New Testament. This series examines the teaching of Scripture on this often misunderstood and misrepresented subject, showing us how to biblically submit to God – and how to correctly submit to each other.
